A charging station for heavy traffic in Sweden in cooperation with Ahola Transport
Ahola Transport and Plugit Finland are building a charging station for electric trucks in Sweden at Ahola’s Nykvarni location near Stockholm. The station will be opened in February 2023 to serve the electric transport fleet operating in the area. The charging station offers 360 kW of power and is designed exclusively for heavy vehicles.
“For us at Plugit, it is important to listen to the users of the charging system and build a solution that supports the business. The cooperation with Ahola is an important and strategic partnership for us and at the same time a perfect example of how the transition to electronic equipment can be done effortlessly,” summarizes Tuomas Mäkelä, Head of Business Unit of Plugit’s professional transport.
“A partner who is able to operate internationally and respond nimbly to our needs plays an important role when we build the conditions for an electric transport fleet. The cooperation with Plugit Finland has gone well”, says Åke Nyblom, CEO of Ahola Transport.
The charging system was implemented using Plugit’s Charging as a Service model, i.e. Plugit invests in the target’s charging infrastructure and is responsible for the operation of the system in the role of operator.
